Book Description
This book is going to share with you how to see the world in HAPPY LIGHT. It is about how to always seeing the BRIGHT side of things, for example we need to lose something in order to learn, but as long as we are safe and HAPPY, we can always get it back and more! WHY DO WE NEED TO SEE THE WORLD AS HAPPY? There are people who incurred huge financial debts and when they learned to get out of the debts, they became millionaires and more! The solution they found actually helped them to increase their capacity to have more, even though the initial hardships caused them tremendous pain and suffering. Being HAPPY doesn't mean suppressing your other emotions, it is letting out that, thus by not holding onto the past, you are free to pursue your DREAMS! Why do we always believe that Others are better in this and that, rather accepting that we are all unique and different. We may sing, dance, write better than others, thus there is division of labour where each individual has the choice to choose what you enjoy doing and exchange these "goods" and "services" with others. Goods are known as Goods simply it feels GOOD to US! (Do you want to buy BADS? Hahaha) The other way to see things in a HAPPY WAY is simply accepting that we allow things to unfold in its own timing, like a flower will bloom in spring and wither in autumn. For me, based in Singapore, where it is SUMMER all year round, since I am living on the tropical climate of the Equator that receives lots and lots of Sunshine, I would travel out of Singapore to experience the four seasons! That was the reason that captivated me to stay in UK, where I was based in Manchester, Cambridge and Glasgow. After staying in UK, I realised I missed Sunshine a lot, so it is good to be back! As such, one can always change as we discover what we enjoy and it can remain HAPPY as long as we see the bright side of thing. I love the cold and cloudy "gloomy" like weather because I can sleep lots, stay indoor to read and of course drink lots of HOT Tea that I constantly put on the hot water boiler in my room. And yes room temperature (20 degrees celsius) COKE taste warm and yummy in cold snowy winter (-3 degrees celsius). In a nutshell, we see the world as HAPPY to keep us positive and enthusiastic and appreciate our life for what it is. Only then, can we bring joy and love to those around.

* Our summary is short, simple and pragmatic. It allows you to have the essential ideas of a big book in less than 30 minutes. As you read this summary, you will learn that some people are able to see beyond things, events and information. It is possible to read between the lines and go further by paying attention to the details. You will also learn : that how you peel a banana is important; that you have to change your perspective in a difficult situation; that tenacity and thoroughness are paramount; that being different makes a difference; that it is possible to make a lasting change in the blink of an eye; why New Year's resolutions are never kept. The ability to see the big picture and to become a visionary is valuable, but if you don't pay enough attention to the details, it can't grow. It is the little things that make the big things possible. Leonardo da Vinci painted his Mona Lisa with his smallest, least spectacular brush, and patiently, layer after layer, so fine and indistinguishable, created his masterpiece. Not everyone is a genius, but everyone can learn to look at their surroundings differently. *Buy now the summary of this book for the modest price of a cup of coffee!

Church of the Small Things

Church of the Small Things PDF Author: Melanie Shankle
Publisher: Zondervan
ISBN: 0310349265
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 116

Book Description
Is my ordinary, everyday life actually significant? Is it okay to be fulfilled by the simple acts of raising kids, working in an office, and cooking chicken for dinner? It’s been said, “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away.” The pressure of that can be staggering as we spend our days looking for that big thing that promises to take our breath away. Meanwhile, we lose sight of the small significance of fully living with every breath we take. Melanie Shankle, New York Times bestselling author and writer at The Big Mama Blog tackles these questions head on in her fourth book, Church of the Small Things. Easygoing and relatable, she speaks directly to the heart of women of all ages who are longing to find significance and meaning in the normal, sometimes mundane world of driving carpool to soccer practice, attending class on their college campus, cooking meals for their family, or taking care of a sick loved one. The million little pieces that make a life aren’t necessarily glamorous or far-reaching. But God uses some of the smallest, most ordinary acts of faithfulness—and sometimes they look a whole lot like packing lunch. Through humorous stories told in her signature style, full of Frito pie, best friends, the love of her Me-Ma and Pa-Pa, the unexpected grace that comes when we quit trying to measure up, and a little of the best TV has to offer, Melanie helps women embrace what it means to live a simple, yet incredibly meaningful life and how to find all the beauty and laughter that lies right beneath the surface of every moment.

The Palm at the End of the Mind

The Palm at the End of the Mind PDF Author: Michael D. Jackson
Publisher: Duke University Press
ISBN: 0822392437
Category : Social Science
Languages : en
Pages : 256

Book Description
In many societies and for many people, religiosity is only incidentally connected with texts or theologies, church or mosque, temple or monastery. Drawing on a lifetime of ethnographic work among people for whom religion is not principally a matter of faith, doctrine, or definition, Michael Jackson turns his attention to those situations in life where we come up against the limits of language, our strength, and our knowledge, yet are sometimes thrown open to new ways of understanding our being-in-the-world, to new ways of connecting with others. Through sixty-one beautifully crafted essays based on sojourns in Europe, West Africa, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand, and taking his cue from Wallace Stevens’s late poem, “Of Mere Being,” Jackson explores a range of experiences where “the palm at the end of the mind” stands “beyond thought,” on “the edge of space,” “a foreign song.” Moments of crisis as well as everyday experiences in cafés, airports, and offices disclose the subtle ways in which a single life shades into others, the boundaries between cultures become blurred, fate unfolds through genealogical time, elective affinities make their appearance, and different values contend.
